Dental Implants

If it’s just one tooth you’re missing, we can fix that. Dr. Doyel and Dr. Aanderud can replace your single missing tooth with the help of a natural looking, tooth colored dental crown that sets on a single dental implant. This single tooth implant is customized to match the surrounding teeth so no one can tell you were ever missing a tooth.

Missing more than one tooth? Our multiple tooth implants connect to a few strategically placed implants to support a fixed, permanent dental bridge. This dental bridge is personalized to your facial structure and skin tone and is made to match the size, shape and color of your surrounding teeth.

With our implant supported dentures, patient’s can reap the benefits of a beautiful, functional smile that is implanted in the jawbone for a stable foundation so their dentures do not require adhesive to stay in place. These dentures can be removed for proper hygiene and cleaning and help to limit bone recession.

A full set of teeth customized to your smile needs and goals? Yes please! Our full mouth dental implants offer a brand new smile in just one visit. Implanted in the jawbone for optimal support are four or more posts that your new teeth attach to, creating a full arch of dental implants and allowing them to look, feel and function like natural teeth.

Aesthetic Dentistry

As opposed to braces, which correct gaps and/or teeth misalignments, crowns and bridges are a cosmetic dental option that helps repair and correct severe tooth damage, decay and instances of missing teeth. Dental crowns involve placing custom-fabricated “caps” over existing tooth structures, while bridges involve fusing a series of crowns together to correct or repair large spans of broken, missing or decaying teeth.

While veneers offer everything you could want in perfectly shaped, white teeth, they also correct dental concerns beyond the picture-perfect smile. When you have damage to a tooth, it can do more below the surface that just affects your physical appearance. It can put you at risk for decay, gum disease, and even tooth loss. Veneers offer a less invasive alternative to a dental crown to help correct certain dental issues. While having to remove approximately half a millimeter of enamel from the visible portion of your tooth to bond a veneer in place. This treatment preserves more of your natural tooth, restoring strength to its structure and protection to the area from any additional damage.

Beautiful smiles are all in the details – and your oral health. If your teeth are crowded, gapped, or misaligned, you might be looking for ways to straighten them. Traditional bracket-and-wire systems can be problematic or not as discreet as our patients may like. Because of this, we’re proud to offer Invisalign clear aligners as an alternative to achieving a smile full of straight teeth! Modern orthodontics allows our dentists to use a series of clear aligners to subtly straighten crooked teeth. Invisalign uses clear aligners that look like transparent retainers that fit snugly over your teeth to gently shift your teeth in place. These invisible aligners allow patients to still enjoy their favorite foods and maintain their normal hygiene routines as Invisalign can be easily removed. Achieve your best, most attractive smile discreetly!

Tooth stains or discoloration are most commonly caused by tobacco, coffee, tea, red wine, berries, tomato-based sauces, select medications, the natural aging process and genetics. Regardless of the cause, it’s common to feel self-conscious when your pearly whites are no longer white. If you’re unhappy with the color of your teeth, you’ve probably attempted to whiten them yourself with over-the-counter (OTC) products. While a few of these options may subtly brighten your stained teeth, most people don’t achieve the results they desire using these methods. Professional teeth whitening from our skilled cosmetic dentists is the best option if you want a whiter and brighter smile that lasts a long time. At new Smiles Dental, we offer affordable, office-based teeth whitening. Our professional-grade bleaching agents can brighten your teeth multiple shades lighter in just one visit, and we also offer at-home trays that take longer to produce optimal results.

General Dentistry

About 15 million teeth are saved every year with root canal treatment. A root canal is necessary when the pulp of a tooth becomes inflamed or infected. If pulp infection is left untreated, this can cause severe pain and/or lead to an abscess. While the perception that root canals are painful began decades ago, advances in dental technology have resulted in root canals that are no more uncomfortable than having a cavity filled. At New Smiles Dental, we strive to change what patients think about root canal treatment by using technologies that enable a painless approach while also alleviating dental anxiety. During a root canal in our office, our highly skilled oral surgeon removes the infected pulp and nerve in your tooth root, cleans and shapes the inside of the root canal, then fills and seals the space.

Sleep apnea isn’t the same thing as snoring, though snoring certainly is a symptom of the condition. Snoring typically occurs when the soft tissues of your mouth—your tongue, the roof of your mouth, and throat—block your airway during sleep. These tissues vibrate as you inhale and exhale, causing the snoring sound. While that might seem disturbing enough, especially to those you live with, you actually stop breathing multiple times during the night when this happens. As a result, you may experience restless nights and sluggish, unproductive days. If you snore, frequently wake during the night, or know you have sleep apnea in King City, OR we encourage you to learn more about this condition at New Smiles Dental and receive the treatment you need for a full and healthy life.

Common Questions About Implants and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental implants transform your smile and boost your confidence. They are a popular option for replacing teeth because they’re more natural looking and feeling than dentures. Plus, they also do not require the removal of any healthy tooth structure. In addition, dental implants can last a lifetime with proper care.

The cost of dental implants is based on many factors, including how many teeth are missing and for how long, the types of materials used, and what additional procedures are needed. Our team can help you apply for dental financing and will file insurance claims on your behalf to help you afford treatment.

Dental implants are the only permanent tooth replacement option, and they’re designed to last for decades. Because they are surgically inserted into the jawbone, they provide health and functional benefits comparable to natural teeth.

Dental implants have achieved a consistently high success rate (over 95%) since their introduction decades ago. Since then, even greater success has been achieved through a combination of surgical technology, high-quality materials, clinical experience and long-term maintenance.

With advanced surgical technology, modern dental implant placement is efficient and precise. Often, the procedure can be completed in just a few hours using patient-fitted surgical guides. The length of your surgery depends on several factors, but no matter how long it takes, you’ll remain comfortable throughout the procedure.

  1. Teeth Whitening: A quick way to brighten your smile, removing stains and discoloration.
  2. Dental Veneers: Thin shells crafted from porcelain or composite material, designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your smile’s appearance.
  3. Dental Bonding: A process where tooth-colored resin is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve a person’s smile.
  4. Dental Implants: Artificial tooth roots placed in your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge for those who have lost a tooth or teeth.
  5. Orthodontics: Braces and other teeth straightening procedures like Invisalign to correct misaligned teeth.

Look for a dentist with specific training and experience in cosmetic procedures. Check before and after photos of their work, read patient reviews, and consider the technology and techniques they use. It’s also important to have a consultation to discuss your goals and expectations.

Invisalign clear aligners offer a virtually invisible way to straighten teeth, providing a comfortable and removable alternative to traditional braces that allows for easy cleaning and no dietary restrictions. They are custom-made for a perfect fit and can significantly enhance your smile with minimal lifestyle disruption.
