Always New Root Canal Files
Small
files are used during root canal therapy to remove debris and shape the
root canals. While most dental offices reuse endodontic files, we use new
files for every patient. These small files endure high rotational forces
during their use that can cause them to fatigue and break in the canals.
Because of the high cost of these files most dental offices reuse them,
increasing the risk of a break. To reduce this risk, the doctors at Pacific
Family Dental use torque controlled handpieces and new files for every patient.
